Billie Jo Founders Edit men's silver rings — 5 signature sterling silver designs laid out on Gold Coast sand

100,000 Men's Silver Rings Later. The 5 That Built This Brand.

Time to read 6 min

Five years ago we didn't know how to make a ring. Not a single one.

We knew what we wanted it to feel like. We knew what was missing from men's silver rings in Australia. We knew the guys we wanted to make them for. But actually making them? No idea. Zero. Had to Google what sterling silver even was.

So we signed up for a jewellery-making course. Sat there like a couple of rookies with a dream and a credit card. Made some things we'd never let near the website now. Looked at each other more than once like "are we actually doing this?"

Turns out we were.

Fast forward to now: over 100 products. More than 100,000 pieces sold. A flagship on the Gold Coast. A warehouse in the US. Teammates who've become like family. And somewhere along the way, something we started at our kitchen table turned into one of the most-worn men's silver rings brands in the country.

Writing that out still doesn't feel real.

The Stuff That Doesn't Make the Highlight Reel

From the outside it probably looks like a straight line. It wasn't.

There were nights packing orders until 2am and being up again at 6 to answer emails. Months where we genuinely didn't know if we'd make it through to the next one. Products we poured weeks into that nobody wanted. Products we nearly killed that turned out to be our bestsellers. Suppliers that let us down. Launches that flopped. Moments where we wondered if we were actually cut out for this, or just two people who got lucky for a minute.

But here's what kept us going: the messages. Always the messages.

The bloke who said it was the first ring he'd ever worn and now he doesn't leave the house without it. The girlfriend who cried getting her partner's engraved piece back from us. The dad who passed his Union Ring down to his son. The guys who found us during the hardest years of their lives and said this brand made them feel like themselves again.

That's not marketing. That's the actual reason we kept showing up.

What We Actually Figured Out About Men's Silver Rings

Five years teaches you things. Not the stuff you can put on a LinkedIn post. Real stuff.

We figured out that men's silver rings in Australia were broken because nobody was making them for actual blokes. It was all either try-hard luxury or cheap rubbish that turned your finger green. We figured out that guys don't want to be sold to. They want a mate telling them what looks good. We figured out that if you make something solid, from materials that last, and you back it with a team that actually cares, people don't just buy once. They come back. They tell their mates. They build collections.

We figured out that we didn't want to be the biggest men's jewellery brand. We wanted to be the one that meant the most.

And we figured out that Billie Jo was never really about the jewellery. It's about the guy who puts it on. The confidence it gives him. The version of himself he feels like when he's wearing it.

That's what we've been building. The rings are just how we deliver it.

The Founders Edit: 5 Men's Silver Rings That Built This Brand

We had a long conversation about this one. Which products would we pick if we had to name the five that got us here?

Not the newest. Not the most hyped. The ones that did the work when nobody was watching.

These are those five. The workhorses. The ones that kept showing up in orders month after month, year after year. The ones guys come back for seconds on. The ones that, honestly, without them, we'd be sitting in very different seats right now.

Koi Stackers

The first stackers that made sense. Thin enough to layer without looking chaotic, solid enough to feel like actual jewellery. Thousands of blokes started stacking because of these. If you've ever wondered whether stackers are for you, they are. Start here.

Union Ring

The one that made us believe. Clean, bold, doesn't try to be anything it's not. Union was the ring that made strangers ask guys where they got it. That was the moment we realised we weren't just making jewellery. We were making something people wanted to be seen in.

Canvas Ring

The quiet one that converted more first-time wearers than anything else we've made. No fuss. No drama. Just a proper ring for a guy who wants something on his hand without turning it into an event. If you've never worn a ring before, this is the one. Every time.

Forge Ring

The opposite energy. Forge has weight. Texture. Presence. The kind of ring you feel on your hand and people clock from across the room. It's the one guys buy when they're ready to stop blending in. When they want something that actually feels like them.

Onyx Ring

Black stone. Sterling silver. Shouldn't work as well as it does, but it does. Onyx brought something different into the collection. Colour and depth that still felt right on a guy's hand. It's the ring blokes buy for themselves, then two weeks later come back and buy for their mate. Happens constantly.

How to Pick Your First Men's Silver Ring

If this is the first time you've landed on Billie Jo, welcome. Here's the honest advice we'd give any mate asking where to start.

If you've never worn a ring before, start with Canvas. It's the easiest entry point we make. Goes with everything. Disappears into your routine in about a week.

If you want something people will actually clock, grab Forge. It's got presence. Weight. The kind of ring that introduces itself before you do.

If you're ready to stack, Koi Stackers is where you begin. Thousands of guys have started their stack with this set. You'll understand why about ten minutes after it arrives.

Union and Onyx sit in the middle. Bold enough to notice, versatile enough to wear every single day. Solid middle-ground picks if you're not sure which way you lean yet.

Every piece ships from our Gold Coast warehouse for Australian orders and our US warehouse for US orders. Sterling silver. Proper engraving. Packed by actual humans who care what it looks like when you open the box.

To Everyone Who Got Us Here

This part's the one that matters most.

If you bought a ring off us in the early days when we were still figuring it out, thank you. If you left us a review when you didn't have to, sent us a DM, posted a photo, told your mate, came back for a second piece, thank you. If you've only just found us and this is your first time on the site, welcome. You're getting us at our best, and we're only getting better from here.

The two of us sitting in that jewellery-making course five years ago had no idea any of this was possible. We just had a feeling, and each other, and a stubborn refusal to let it go.

Everything Billie Jo is today, you built with us. Every order. Every review. Every time someone asked "where'd you get that ring?" and a bloke said "Billie Jo."

Thank you, seriously. For five years. For being part of this.

Quick Questions We Get Asked

Are Billie Jo men's silver rings real sterling silver?

Yes. Every silver piece we make is solid 925 sterling silver. Not plated. Not mystery metal. The real thing. That's why they last, don't turn your finger green, and wear the way a proper ring should.

Do Billie Jo silver rings tarnish?

Sterling silver can tarnish over time — that's just the nature of the metal. The good news: a quick polish and it's back to new. Our rings survive the ocean, the gym, the shower, cooking. They do not survive a cup of bleach. Don't be that guy.

What ring size should I get?

Get it measured properly if you can. Your local jeweller will do it for free. If you're ordering for someone else, a partner's existing ring is the best cheat sheet. We've also got a full sizing guide on the site.

Do you ship to the US and internationally?

Australian orders ship from our Gold Coast warehouse. US orders ship from our US warehouse. We also ship internationally. Fast, tracked, packed by humans who actually care what it looks like when the box arrives.
